Dutch Masters

La Sfera Armoniosa is currently working on the series Dutch Masters. Music by forgotten Dutch composers from the 17th and 18th century will be presented to the public on national and international concert stages and recordings.

Willem de Fesch

In 2021 record company Challenge Records released the first album in La Sfera’s Dutch Master series, with music by Willem de Fesch. This composer from Alkmaar, the home town of La Sfera Armoniosa, was an extraordinary musicial talent and became famous as violinist. Before moving to London, De Fesch worked in Amsterdam en Antwerp. In London de Fesch under Händel guidance as violinist but also as musical leader and conductor in Marylebone Gardens, the famous 17th century pleasure gardens.
