La Sfera Armoniosa
Founded in 1992 by lutenist Mike Fentross and viola da gamba player Paulina van Laarhoven, La Sfera Armoniosa focuses on performing music from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. In a short time, La Sfera Armoniosa developed to a top level ensemble performing at major European festivals and venues receiving raving reviews for a wide variety of projects during three decades of existence.
Projects and Series
La Sfera Armoniosa is currently working on the series Dutch Masters. Music by forgotten Dutch composers from the 17th and 18th centuries, such as Willem de Fesch, Pieter Hellendaal and Count Unico van Wassenaer, has been presented to the public on national and international concert stages and recordings.
In 2024 La Sfera Armoniosa will record a new album with music by Henrico Albicastro, a Dutch-German composer with an Italian alias.
